This painting was developed from a photograph my husband and I took in the Tetons the first year we were married….29 years ago. On that late September day we rounded a bend in a remote area of the park and these three aspen trees lit up our view. They were brilliant and strong against the pine covered hill but were a bit of an enigma in this sage covered meadow. I gave the photograph to my mother as a gift to honor her and her two sisters. When I executed the painting this past year I could feel the quiet energy of that moment long ago and thought fondly of my mom and aunts.
