I’m really not sure how you paint something as “grand” as the Grand Canyon. As I stood on its North Rim I was totally captivated by shapes, colors, shadows and light. I simply started painting what I saw and when I stood back from the painting I felt I had captured the feeling I had that afternoon standing on the rim of the canyon.
