| Our community in Boulder has embraced the acquisition of open space and we enjoy beautiful spaces that in many communities would have suffered development. One of my favorites is Wonderland, located on the north end of the city. It has beautiful trails and a spectacular view of the Flatirons. I visited the trailhead over three separate evenings to capture the unique light on the mountains and trees. I developed this studio piece from three uniquely different studies incorporating a little of each into the final studio painting. |
